A Good Deed in Home MedicalĀ Supplies

Shop The Relief for Mobility Aids like Rollators - Rolling Walkers

A tale that just has to be told because the team at The Relief Shop and the team at Carex has done a very good deed.

A customer who owns a Carex rollator, a rolling walker with hand brakes and a seat, called The Relief Shop because her rollator needed new back wheels. Since we carried the rollator she currently had, she called to see if we could get the new wheels she needed.

Our Relief Shop staff called the manufacturer and located the needed wheels. The good news was; the manufacturer would supply and deliver the wheels for FREE since the rollator was still in warranty. The customer was called and the good cheer spread.

The fourth assistive technology area includes software and tools for learning difficulties. The other areas cover visual impairment, augmentative and alternative communication, deafness and hearing loss, and a category for “others”.

Some feel that assistive technology is more advanced than mere assistive devices and there should be more of a distinction between the two. An example of assistive technology would be the technology behind allowing an individual to move the mouse on his computer by eye-tracking versus an assistive device such as a shower chair.

However; when our staff called the manufacturer back with needed info., several people there thought the wheels were probably NOT going to work. What -to do, what-to-do?

The Relief Shop Team reminded Carex of two important points:

  • The rollator was still in warranty.
  • At the moment, the customer was very happy.

So, what did Carex do? They delivered a BRAND NEW Rollator to the customer at NO CHARGE what so ever!

Upon talking to the customer after the rollator was delivered, she was elated and very grateful. A little good will from The Relief Shop and Carex had gone a long way, indeed.

So, shop The Relief Shop for all your home medical supply needs and let’s see what we can do for you.
